All enterprises and businesses involved in importing and exporting of goods are required to obtain an import export code. The Import Export Code is a 10-digit code issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. It can be used by the entity who obtained it entirely through their existence. The IE Code once obtained need to be renewed every year as per the latest amendment. Not much procedural compliances are required and the registration will be completed in a couple of days.
